CSLS (Italian National Consortium of Services for wood and cork) is a private non-profit consortium promoted by all national associations for Italian industry, commerce and small business arising from the the timber industry. consists of about 880 associates in Italy.
CSLS manages eight national and international Marks. Its mission is to promote the several uses of wood, from packaging to structural use and to safeguard Systems / Marks. In 2005, the Italian Ministry for Agriculture and Forestry has recognized the CSLS as Party in charge of the brand IPPC / FAO for the compliance of ISPM no. 15. In 2011, a patent project was presented for the method and the process for the certification of the heat treatment of wood.
The fields in which the consortium works are forest protection, logistics and management, the cork industry, sustainability (for reuse systems of packaging and sustainability of wood) buildings and structures in addition to the CE marking for structural wood homes wood.
